Why Hydroseeding?

Simply put hydroseed is an effective more costly way to establish a lush lawn without having to lay sod down.  Sod can be amazing, but it is more expensive and more labour intensive.  Hydroseeding material ("Slurry") typically will cost the customer less then half the cost of a roll of sod.

Do I still need top soil?

Yes, it is still recommended that you apply 2 inches of top soil dressing to allow for your hydroseed a fair fighting chance to establish that lush lawn you want.

How long will it take?

The time on site will be determined by the services your are looking for.  The actual spraying of hydroseed mixture is completed in one day.  An approximate area of 4000sq. ft, takes about an hour to spray.  Preparation of each tank of mixture, and additional tanks required on site require more time.

Do I need to water hydroseed?

Yes, Yes and Yes.  The typical rule of thumb is 2 times a day for about 15 minutes for each sprayed  area.  Wet no puddles is the goal.  You want it to stay moist, never dry, and not drowning in water.  We use an agent in our slurry to help you with keeping it moist.
